Jake Silverman (C '12), former Consultant at Avascent

Jake Silverman is a candidate for MBA at the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School’s class of 2018.  He holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania, having graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude with a major in political science and minor in modern Middle Eastern studies.

Jake worked for four years at Avascent, a strategy consulting boutique that focuses on aerospace, defense, and other government-driven industries.  At Avascent, he executed over 50 engagements, focusing on domestic and international growth strategy in the space and satellite communications industry.  For the past two years, Jake served as an engagement manager, leading teams of 2-5 analysts to execute cases. 

At Wharton, Jake is studying Strategic and Entrepreneurial Management and is active in the Consulting, Technology, and Entrepreneurship clubs, as well as Wharton Wildmen Hockey. 

Come learn what it takes to be a consultant and the skills and abilites needed to work in strategic and entrepreneurial management during this relaxed, informative and informal lunch.
